NCAT Media Release - 2024 Quick Action Grants Round 1
In partnership with United Way Greater Toronto, the Newmarket Community Action Table (Newmarket CAT) is pleased to announce the recipients of 2024 Round 1 Quick Action Grants. The purpose of the Quick Action Grants is to provide residents and agencies with resources to implement their ideas that address two critical issues – Mental Well-Being and Housing Stability in our community. Congratulations to our grant recipients!
Resident Led Grants:
- Newmarket Community BBQ – $2000
- BestBuddies Celebration – $2000
- Driving Change Through Coding – $2000
- Community Mentor Matchup – $2000
Agency Led Grants:
- 108 Health Promotion Association: Heritage Harmony – Asian Cultural Arts Series with Dragon & Lion Dance and Chinese Drumming Workshops – $1500
- Seniors Iranian Multicultural Association (SIMA): Senior Outreach & Engagement Project – $7500
